Are You Making the Ask? Nagcarlan Said Yes!

In partnership with Friedrich Ebert-Stiftung and the Office of Vice Mayor Rexon Arevalo, Active Citizenship Foundation, Inc. conducted “Making the Ask: Advocacy Training on Sustainability” on 22-23 July 2022 at Nagcarlan, Laguna. Thirty (30) Nagkarlangin civil society leaders were capacitated to become local advocates of a green and sustainable municipality, enabling them to build advocacy with various stakeholders.

For Resilient Communities, Maasin City Goes Green!

In a quest to promote a deepened commitment from local partners in mainstreaming the concept of green cities in local development planning, Active Citizenship Foundation, Inc., in collaboration with Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Philippines and G-Watch, successfully initiated “Greening for Resilient Communities: A Multi-Stakeholder Alignment Program” in Maasin City, Southern Leyte on 23-24 July 2022. Representatives from various civil society organizations participated in this 2-day event where they built up strong advocacy support for sustainable green city agenda for their locality.

Active Citizenship Foundation (ACF) was founded and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on November 17, 1999 as a non-stock, non-profit organization committed to promoting people’s active participation in community activities.

What we Do

ACF’s main focus is to assist marginalized communities and sectors, especially the poorest of the poor, in upgrading their capabilities and skills towards maximizing the services and programs being offered by government, in general, and by civil society organizations in their respective areas, in particular.
